@W11llf Question number 1, the sky Max hub that i think you have is only needed to be online first connection it's wan to the ONT lan if you must have a sky talk landline in operation, no phone then no need to have it up and working!

@JimM1 I have a sky hub SR203
I got it up and running connected to the ONT. I don't use any VOIP and don't need that - only internet.
I haven't been able to connect my Ultra directly to the ONT and I haven't managed to insert it after the hub either.. for different reasons, I guess

@W11llf I would check the other settings as Ubquiti routers are complex to set up before deciding that the connection wont work. In particular leave the VLANID unselected as discussed here also check the firmware is reasonably recent as that thread points out later.

@W11llf Noy a unifi person but if you do search XT8 you will see how Asus is connected direct on the ONT from my pictures posted!
Also take a look at the video linked below. My Asus is NO auhentication using DHCP wan connected both iPv4 and iPv6 all working, three seperate ssid and full Ai mesh wired/wireless backhauls!
