Using own router Ireland
Hi
I'm wondering can I use my own router with my full fibre Internet and if so is there a particular brand to use? I am based in the Republic of Ireland and it will be used mainly for gaming

Re: Using own router Ireland
Hi @Dion92
Yes you can, many of the routers in the market will now work with Sky fibre, even those that require alternative firmware. Personally I rate Asus routers, never had an issue with them.

Re: Using own router Ireland
Thank you for the reply. They work not a problem in the Republic of Ireland yeah? Sorry been with Virgin media for years first time ever changing provider. Also do i need to get any settings off sky for me to set it up or is the process simple to do?

Re: Using own router Ireland
Yes, for ROI you just need to enter a generic set WAN credentials into the router, no need to get anything off Sky.

Thank you so much. I'm not the most tech savy can I ask what you mean by generic WAN credentials? Is there information somewhere about how to do it?
