Using newly installed Fibre Cables for Sky - is this possible?

Fibre cables are being installed outside my house today (by Virgin Media I think, according to paperwork through the door), and I'm a long term Sky customer for phone, broadband and TV.

Can I utilise the new Fibre cabling with my Sky subscription, and if so how, or is it only usable if I have a Virgin Media subscription? Depending on the answer to that and I have to have HM Broadband, can I combine the two, such as using VM Fibre Broadband but keeping other services with Sky?

Sky does not provide broadband over Virgin Media infrastructure.  In theory Virgin has started offering wholesale bandwidth, but it's unclear if any ISPs have bought into that.

All Sky subscription television products can use Virgin as the ISP.
