Currently with Virgin Media (Modem Only Mode) using an Asus RT-AX82U router.
Moving over to Sky Full Fiber 500 and would like to use my own RT-AX82U router instead of the router supplied by Sky. I believe this is possible - although I understand I will loose the ability to use the Sky telephone service and should I require support from Sky I would need to plug their router back in.
Can you please confirm if it would just be the following two settings that would need making on my Asus router -
WAN Connection type = Automatic IP
Client-identifier (Option 61) = anything@skydsl|anything
Are there any other settings that would need reviewing?
Lastly, can I replace the Sky router with my own on day1 or is there still a training/learning period (such as used to apply to ADSL) meaning that I would need to leave the Sky router in for Xdays before replcaing with my own.
Thanks,
Steve

Nothing else needs to be entered. Plug it in after entering the client id
