Hi Hope you can help
I've recently moved from Virgin where I've had 4 TP Deco meshed network with enabled parent mode working nicely, with the Virgin router in modem mode.
From what I can gather Sky routers don't allow this option, but I can use AP mode instead. My problem is that from what I've read I'd lose the parent controls on the Deco (see below link).
https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/faq/1842/
Is there a way arround this where I can get the parent mode working on the deco?
Many thanks

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@UrbanB the Deco M4 does not support Sky's required DHCPv4 Option61 authentication so cannot be connected directly to a Sky line. As far as I am aware the parental control option doesn't work in AP mode but it might if set up in a double NAT set up ie connected in Router mode behind the Sky hub. You get it wirking could you let the forum know.

Thanks for the reply.
I was thinking of running it in router mode to see if the double NAT causes any issues, if not just run in AP.
I'm not sure it there's any other options e.g. buying something that could work as a Modem for Sky fttp then add the deco m4
Is adding a DMZ on the Sky router an option? Not that I know how to do this

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@UrbanB thrre is no such thing as a FTTP modem well there is but that is the ONT. It is unfortunate TP-Link dont support DHCPv4 Option 61 over the WAN interface on their router as their modem routers do but only over the modem interface. Asus, Netgear etc kit works but notvthe Deco range. I have 3 M4 units myself but running in AP mode.
