Useless upgrade

We've been paying for SKY superfast fibre broadband for years even though we never had fibre, as standard broadband was hopeless.

We were finally connected to fibre to the cabinet on Saturday,  we believed we'd get something better,  oh what a shock. From 13 maps to 16 maps, so basically useless still.

How do SKY get away with setting the minimum target so low.

When I complained in June, they said its Opereaches fault, but were told fetch was coming, its arrived and its no better in real terms.

In June we were offered a new contract and  given discounts, we wanted better assurances for the Broadband.

Well let's see if they let us leave and cancel the broadband and go to Gigaclear, where we can actual achieve what we are paying for.

SKY, you really have to get yourself sorted, you have great products, but lousy broadband

FTTC speed is almost entirely a product of copper line length to the cabinet: that's physics (attenuation of high frequency signalling over a metallic bearer due to electrical resistance) and not something any ISP can avoid.
