Upgrading to fibre
I'm considering upgrading to broadband fibre. I have 2 questions: 1. Is it worth it? 2. Am I right in assuming the fibre 500 cost, £43, is in place of my current broadband charge of £38, and not as well as? TY

Only you can know if you'll benefit from the speed: it's most useful for single large downloads (such as Steam games) or where multiple devices are streaming in UHD simultaneously. New optical cable should also be somewhat more reliable than vintage Openreach copper.

The new monthly cost replaces the current one.
