Upgrading to Gigafast+
I am currently on Full Fibre 500 (paying £43 per month) and have been thinking of upgrading to Gigafast+ (@£27 per month). It doesn't make clear if the £27 is instead of the £43 (so a reduction) or as well as (taking the bill to £70 per month).
Can anyone clarify this?

Re: Upgrading to Gigafast+
@Gazpar the advertised prices tend to only to be available for new customers. As a current customer you can see the price you wiuld pay by using the My Sky app/ Gigafast+ requires your address to have access to a City Fibre connection which only cover limited sreas.

Re: Upgrading to Gigafast+
The price of £27 is what is being offered when i go to upgrade , i am not a new customer. It just doesn't clarify if it is an additional cost or a replacement.

I currently have FF500 and my upgrade option in the app also shows Gigafast at £27 a month.
Perhaps note that as @Chrisee indicates, 'Gigafast' is not 'Gigafast+'
The former is the 1000Mbs maximum bandwidth now offered by Sky over the national Openreach optical network, the latter is 2.5Gbs and 5Gbs on the much more geographically limited CityFibre distribution (and currently not possible on Openreach fibre)
CityFibre also offers significantly faster outbound speeds.

I know what it is. I check the upgrade options regularly. I've never seen Gigafast below £45 as an existing customer in my upgrade options.

Sorry but it still doesn't answer my original question!

Re: Upgrading to Gigafast+
@Gazpar you are going to have to speak to Sky but I agree £27 looks very cheap but most Sky offers are the full price not an incease. However I repeat existing customers cannot access low cost offers if you read the "legal bit" section it normally tells you.

Re: Upgrading to Gigafast+
My upgrade offer is unambiguously £27 a month in total. But it says "We're having technical difficulties" if I try to proceed.

I'm currently with VM having left Sky BB 18 months back(?) so I am a "new" customer for BB and my offer is £27 for Gigafast (900Mbps). It drops to £25 for 500, £24 for 300 and £20 for 75 (and oddly, £25 for 100).
Hmm, I'm with VM until June but I think I'll give them a call tomorrow and test the waters.
