Upgraded from fibre 100 to giga fast broadband sometime in early December 2023. The speed is supposed to be minimum of 600mbps, previously the speed was around 90 mbps but solid all the time.
The speed of the upgraded package is never above 200 mbps and often cuts out or drops to less than 50mbps.
For three different days since the upgrade we have lost all internet for the day with not explaination.
When I run the service checker it tells me everything is good but it doesnt test the speed and with no speed and no way to obviously complain about the tested speed, i'm stuck with a lesser service than before the upgrade.
Is there anything I can do to contact sky or to fix the issue or maybe even downgrade to get a better service?

It is possible your connection is not delivering full speeds but it is more likely an issue within your network which needs excluding. Tests run over a proven direct gigabit ethernet connection with nothing else connected should be used.

I'm testing via wifi (which I dont expect to reach the 900mbps but I expect at least half that if the minimum on wired is 600mbps.
My fibre is connected in a way that doesnt easily allow for wired connections.
Is it expected to loose so much speed and have consistancy issues over wifi? As mentioned it was more stable and "better" before the upgrade

If that is your expectation then you will be quite disappointed. You'll lose a good amount of speed over WiFi, especially using Sky's standard SR203. You might see better performance using the Sky Max hub over WiFi 6 or a 3rd party hub.

Well, yes: over enough distance or through a few walls all WiFi drops to zero Mbs. Even in the same room as the router there's still the potential for interference from the neighbours WiFi and the limitations of the test device itself: as I've frequently commented on this forum, my 500Mbs BT FTTP 'tests' as under 40Mbs on my phone.

Same as me. Upgraded from standard fibre in Dec 23 and still having issues with gigifast. The wifi is worse than it was before upgrading. To be fair, no major issues bit only upgraded as kids gaming took longer and dropped here and there but jow its worse than ever. My ring camera won't even pick up good wifi to even go live and it's in the same room as the router! Sky have told me it's lots of devices, but haven't connected everything from the previous broadband so we have fsr less connected now! Sky have sent a booster but hasnt improved anything. Let me know if ypu sort anything!
