Upgraded my subscription but still getting the same speed
I previously had Sky Broadband Ultrafast 1 (150mbps) and yesterday opted to upgrade to Full Fibre 500 (500mbps). My activation date said 00:00 on May 25th (today) and my order tracking now says Activated. However I'm still seeing 159mbps to the hub. I've tried rebooting the hub but no change. Has anyone else had this? Is it just a waiting game? I was hoping the speed increase would have been near instant, as I'm trying to download some large files for work!

Re: Upgraded my subscription but still getting the same speed
@VSLJames Reset you hub, power off leave a couple minutes then back on, the hub status, modem should reflect the down / up figures
mine are at 549 900 and 750 00 for the FF500 feed on a SR203 hub. Web manager interface will show you. If not it's the midnight wait.

@sullo12 If you upgrade did not happen, then you need to call sky to find out why!

Re: Upgraded my subscription but still getting the same speed
Have spoken to sky. The activation is done by openreach. So despite it saying activated nothing will happen until after the Bank Holiday. Where it says activation in 24 hours it actually should read working hours. Hope this helps.

Re: Upgraded my subscription but still getting the same speed
I did wonder if its to do withe Bank Holiday. I too upgraded yesterday from 150mb to 500mb. So looks like even though it says activation today it wont actually happen until tomorrow.
out of interest what exactly do Openreach have to do to upgrade you?

@sullo12 If it is sitting pending in your sky orders for the FF100 to the FF300 upgrade then it's when sky get round to doing it for your account...

Re: Upgraded my subscription but still getting the same speed
You're probably right. But I'm just telling you what they told me. Also said increased billing will not start until up and running date.

Re: Upgraded my subscription but still getting the same speed
So the speed did indeed increase after the bank holiday. I now have a new issue though, where the connection is pretty unstable and keeps dropping teams calls etc. Pretty awkward as working from home a lot hence the "upgrade". Do I just have to wait for the Dynamic Line Management to settle down? So frustrating!

Re: Upgraded my subscription but still getting the same speed
@VSLJames On a direct Fibre connection there is NO DLM control that is only used for a fttc copper connection. So you have something else going on, you need to look closely at both the download and upload for good teams, are you using the system on wireless or wired connection.
Run the link below gives a lot off information and look at it all, for both download/upload and packet loss. Picture will be like this when you are able to see the image when cleared for viewing.
