Unfulfilled offers

Sky offered me an upgrade, been waiting since September, constantly pushed back and now told order will be cancelled if appropriate consents aren't supplied. Not sure who isnt giving consent but on OpenReach site it already shows full fibre to my home so not sure what's going on and why the order will be cancelled. Written to my local councillor for assistance and even considering approaching the neighbours! Why offer a service if you can't fulfill the same? Open reach we're in the area in September when the order was placed but they're now threatening to withdraw the order? So confused and absolutely refuse to pay another penny to Sky as I think this is what they want. I'll go to another provider before I give Sky any more money

Re: Unfulfilled offers

@Jewels5 It is Openreach who bring the FF Full Fibre from the delivery point wherever that currently may be, so if it happens to be at the otherside off the road, and is an underground feed with a blockage etc and the Fibre just cannot get right to your home, then an Instant delay occur's it's called sugar happens, OR have to follow all the rules/regulations etc to now get it where it needs to be.

Sky post up 90 day's if the install get's complicated after that period customers like yourself have the tendency to get real annoyed as to why and the lack off, but you say i have it already etc! Example neighbour ordered FF Sept 2024 installed mid June 2025 reason NO FIBRE at that side off the street, all the duct's blocked, no access to get to the Poles behind there homes, and NOT one off the homes was going to allow OR to dig back 100' from the street to get there, that's for sure, and now it's just a nightmare for all those people.... The whole street is a mess now with OR Civils coming dig this little bit up, multiple closures as the do halve way accross the road, etc etc

@Jewels5

What have Sky said when you've contacted them about this?

Making threats to refuse to pay are pointless. Cancelling your payment method is definitely not recommended and it will cause you additional problems. Your services will be restricted, you won't be able to call Sky, you wont be able to cancel, late payment fees will be added and eventually Sky could involve a debt recovery company which may affect your credit rating.
