Unable to use Wi-Fi calling or FaceTime

I've just changed to sky full fibre (500bps) from BT as they got more and more expensive. We have a large old farmhouse so use the standard BT router with 3 BT extenders and were getting good speeds everywhere (150bps service) and able to use FaceTime etc and Wi-Fi calling anywhere in the house (we have no mobile phone reception living rurally).

After an engineer visit, we have the new white Sky max hub with three sky pods in the same position as the BT extenders had been, but over the pods we can't seem to do any FaceTime or Wi-Fi calls. They constantly drop and cut out.

some figures - directly from the Sky Max hub download speed is around 500, upload 65, ping is around 60 on download, jitter 38, but when attached to a pod the figures are download 60, upload 55, ping 650 and jitter 85.

any help appreciated, thanks.

Re: Unable to use Wi-Fi calling or FaceTime

Thanks for the input @Chrisee

The pods were initially placed by the visiting Sky engineer. He ended up chosing sites almost identical to where the BT extenders had been (they had worked brilliantly).
I've tried experimenting with diff positions without much change.
FaceTime is the worst and works poorly even in the same room as the main Sky hub. Your voice is cut out to other users if anyone else makes a noise. That doesn't happen with anyone else on the call.
Frustrating as both my wife and I are NHS workers and do multiple online meetings. We end up "discussing" who gets the room with the hub. She wins.
cheers, Jason
