I run a small home office network. I have an ethernet cable from my SkyMax Hub to a Netgear unmanaged switch and then various PCs and printers connected to the switch. I am trying to setup port forwarding but have a few challenges:
Surely the simplest way is to in the admin site on the hub specify the destination IP and Port number
Of course, the biggest issue is that it is impossible to speak to anyone at Sky to actually assist.

Answering my own question.
Turns out there is a place in the app where you can see the list of devices and view the details linking them to the list of devices to choose from when setting up the port forwarding. The only problem is that you cannot edit the label associated with it so I have multiple [Generic Brand Windows PC/Laptop] entries. Fortunately, the specific server I wanted had a more specific name. On seeing this list I assumed the list shown when setting up port forwarding had to be longer than the 5 shown on my phone (no scroll bar visible or partial entry at the bottom to hint) so it turned out you could scroll down (drag up) the list and select the required server.
This would have been immensely simpler and a lot less painful, if there was a person one could phone.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIs there not a custom option in the dropdown list of devices? If not are you not able to identify it via its current IP address or MAC address

Because that's what Sky has chosen to do. Given the new EE (BT) Hub also has in-app management, I suspect it's what all ISPs will transition to, particularly as more of their bundled services shift from on-hardware to in-cloud.
I'd observe it also gets round the increasing hostility of web browsers to the 'self-signed' SSL certificates traditionally found on ISP router hardware.

No custom option and the names in the list cannot be related to the list of connected devices
