Unable to get to some webpages that were fine

I am unable to access a series of connected websites when I am at home going via my Sky router.

I used to be able to access them from everywhere. I can still access them on my devices from other routers and using my phone as a hotspot. Friends also loose access when they try via my router.

I have rebooted the router.

All was fine until about a month ago

@AliArn

Can you let us know what the pages are & if you have Sky Shield enabled or not?

@jamesn123  www.bannerdown.co.uk I don't know if I have sky shield enabled but have not made any changes to that so unless it can be changed remotely by sky has been a constant

@jamesn123 I have checked and sky shield is enabled but even adding the website to allowed websites doesn't fix my issue ....

The exception list doesn't always work properly. Can you try disabling it completely? Also if possible can you try switching your hub off for 20mins as this will fetch a new public IP for your connection, just on the off chance that the one you are using is blocked in some way.

It would also be useful to know what the error message you see in the browser is? E.g. Connection denied, DNS lookup failure etc.

Refused to connect can mean its an IP block, I would try the router switch off for 20-30mins

Re: Unable to get to some webpages that were fine

I have had the router off for an hour.... still no access! I have turned off shield but the Sky person I spoke to says that might take 24 hours to really be turned off! So I shall try again tomorrow ...

Thanks for your help and ideas
