Unable to change SSID and Password on Sky Broadband Router

Hi all,

I'm returning to Sky Broadband after being with BT for around 4 years.

I amended my SSID and password on the BT Home Hub and I want to do the same on my Sky Broadband router so that my Echo dot's, Sonos, Printer devices amongst others reconnect when my line switches over on Wednesday and I swap from the BT Hub for the Sky Hub.

I'm not super technical, but understand things to a certain degree and have accessed the router via ethernet into my macbook on address 192.198.0.1, however, when I attempt to change either the SSID, password or both at the same time, the webpage refreshes, advises it cannot connect, then if I'm lucky I get a 404 error.

Once I log back into the router, nothing has changed.

I've tried to hard reset the router, holding the reset pin down for 30 secs, then retrying, but to no avail.

Am I missing something glaringly obvious here? Unfortunately, I do not have a windows device to perform the change on, surely its not the Mac that is causing it?

Any help or assistance appreciated!

Thanks,

Danny

@PumpedBanjo there is a known issue with devices running ios and Safari with the Sky hub interface. Ideally use any other device otherwise Chrome seems less of a problem but need a few attempts.

Hi @Highlinder, I'm using Safari. Would you recommend a different browser? Cheers.

Sorry, I wasn't specific enough for anyone reading this in the future - I used Chrome on my MacBook and this allowed me to perform the changes.
