Activation day, working fine but then no internet

Hi! Activation date for sky broadband was today. Hub set up and working no problem this morning. Then internet light goes solid orange and phone light goes off completely. Phoned sky who advised resetting router, which I did with no success.

advisor suggested waiting as service can be intermittent on activation day. Should I just wait until tomorrow to see if the internet light comes back on?

As activation can take up to midnight tonight i would advise getting back to us tomorrow if its still not working. Even the sms sent by openreach on behalf of sky can be premature

Thank you @cookiemonsteruk!

I think I was just concerned as the activation must have been successful as everything was working well this morning, and then stopped working about 30 mins later

One should be aware that FTTC VDSL2 can seem unstable on the first couple of days until DLM stabilities the line, so best to wait at least a day until reporting an activation failure if it doesn't work at all.

After that time if slightly intermittent for the first few days it isn't anything to worry about once line management (DLM) has done its trick and stabilized the line conditions should improve to full service.
