My internet connection keeps dropping out with Sky. When I run a status check through sky.com it states everything is fine with the line and area. after its reconnected
Sometimes it will after a few minutes reconnect on it own. Sometimes it requires me to reboot the router. Last night was one of the worse. Stopped working when the wife went to bed at about 10pm and when i woke up at 3am it still wasn't working. I have since reboot the router and did a line test from work and it seems to be now working
When the connection drops the internet light goes orange

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Damo1221 when the internet light shows amber the hub has lost connection to the line. This usually but not allways means there is a fault.
The exception is where planned maintainance is being done. Sky and Openreach have to do work on their networks which can mean taking them down for periods. This is usually done between midnight and 5am so losing connection at 10pm is unlikely to be due to maintainance but if your service is back up this morning I would assume it was.
The recent heavy rain and storms has caused the number of line issues to rocket. The procedure is if your line is down run the briadband test in tge My Sky app over a mobile connection as that will tell you if there is a knownissue affecting your lline if there isn't then call Sky and report thst your line is down.
