Fixed line broadband requires a data bearer: either a copper 'phoneline' or an optical cable

or is there any way i can get broadband access from a tumdrive stick, or anything else

Cellular internet can be received by a computer on a USB stick containing a SIM card.  It can also work from either a tethered mobile phone or a dedicated 3G/4G/5G mobile router.

This ^ I can remember the "dongle" days of contraption with a SIM card. When the mobile masts weren't as up to speed as they claim to be now. Would've worked better nowadays to have this technology due to its roll reversal in internet FTTC aging infrastructure.

Looks like they've increased the capacity of download speeds, but is the antenna signal better than before? 😋
