Re: The reach from my wi fi box around my house is poor
@Mark+Dun WiFi signal strength is influenced by the layout and type of construction of your home. 8m of fresh air is no issues but throw in say a couple of walls , furniture etc and its a different story. The denser the solid objects the greater tgecsignal loss so if your home has solid walls you can struggle to get axsignal in the next room. Pretty much every WiFi router use the maximum power that the regulations allow but all are affected by the laws of physics.
First point to check is thst the signal your Sky hub is not being on the floor or behind other kit it needs to be out in the open on a surface above obstructions like radiators. Assuming you have done that and still have an issue you will need more kit Assuuming you have done that you are into neddingvtomspend some money forget finding some other ISP with a super router theyvsimply dont exist they arexall much of a muchness. In many homes thexsolution is having multiple WiFi sources.
Sky can sell you tgeir Sky WiFi Max bundle which can provide up to 3 extender pods if an engineer agreees they are needed but nitectge guarantee speed is either a minimum 10Mb/s or 25Mb/s in every room the higher spedd being for Ultrafast customers. alterntively you can buy your own whole homexwifi mesh solution which can work out cheaper in the long run. In some problem properties with stone walls powerline networking that uses the mains wiring or running ethernet cables are the only answer.
65inch Sky Glass, 3 Sky Streaming Pucks, Sky Ultrafast + and Sky SR213(white Wifi Max hub) main Wifi from 3 TP-Link Deco M4 units in access point mode
