How did you cancel?
Did you get an email from Sky acknowledging the cancellation?
Did Sky send you return packaging for a loaned hub?

I'm taking it to the post office today..I received the box on Friday. Why am I paying if I don't benefit from anything from you? That didn't seem fair to me.

Re: The contract was canceled and I'm still being charged money.
Firstly, this is predominantly a customer led discussion forum where Sky customers are available to help other customers. You aren’t contacting Sky Customer Services by posting here.
Billing continues throughout the notice period which for broadband is 14 days.Bills are also generated 14 days before the payment date so any cancellation usually involves another payment. Any overpayment is usually reimbursed within 6 weeks.

Do you put money back that was withdrawn?

@Codrin That all depends on what you did, in or out off contract any penalties for termination, no one knows who you are, what you have, or what you did, posting on the Forum is customers like yourself. If you are in contract then expect to get a further bill from sky!

I switched to ee internet and was told that I would pay the rest of the bills for the contract termination...and on my sky bill it shows - and still money was taken from my account

@Codrin You have the idea, YOU and you alone pay the final bill whatever that value is so if it is £500 you have to stump it all up and pay the final bill, there is nothing else for it! That's the way it works, you are responsable!

@Codrin Once it is all paid, and you have all the documented that you did it, which will be on your next sky bill that you have done so, then you go fight with EE to try and get your money back that they agreed and work out from seeing all the bill! Good luck with that one, you may wish to go see the EE Forum for how popular that question is!
