Terribly SLOW
So, not been with sky long and the service is absolutely dreadful! i can't connect to my server due to constant timeouts (this is a sky problem, and hasnt been the case with previous ISP's) my service is 500 mbps and i am getting less than 100 TO THE ROUTER this is much much slower than the guaranteed 400, i have tried the default sky router as well as a netgear nighthawk, again, no difference, usenet speeds are topping at 8 MB/s thats all! not been with sky that long only 2 months or so and i have every intention of using this to terminate my service on the basis that the service being paid for can't be provided, anybody else had any recent issues (oldham area).
to summarise, this isnt my equipment my setup is perfect, it is literally everything WAN even sky own broadband test page is reporting less than 100 to the router and also saying that its ok, i dont think so!

@LockyUK The sky service checker is the only tool that can be used for speed and system status, just so you know?

Yeah I believe so, yesterday and today are both reporting 90 obviously significantly below the 400 minimum so if tomorrow says less than 400 I can simply ask them to terminate the contract because they can't provide the service? Whilst the speed is a bit of an issue it's the constant timeouts meaning I can't even connect via SSL to my server or the majority of websites, it's mad because I only left ttalktalk to save some pennies and I'm definitely regretting it now.

@LockyUK You have checked and made sure that the broadband shield is off?
What service says below for a FF500 service.

Yeah the broadband shield is off, I didn't realise before I joined that I can't even change the DNS on the router which is very poor

Yeah I know but I was a bit unsure of doing so affecting the speeds reported to the router, I can't believe how poor the sky router is, previous isp had a eero6 pro x 2 and it was incredible, I just hope tomorrow shows less than 400 so I can easily say bye bye, it's even impossible to speak to anybody past this ai chat bot things

@LockyUK What sky router do you have, there is NOTHING wrong with the Black SR203 router what so ever...

Yeah it's the black one, only been with sky a shade over 2 months, I wonder if my expectations are too high for it coming from the eero6 pro

@LockyUK You may be, do not know anything about them an Asus user myself, and been doing this for 45 years so have some what experience.

I also have an ASUS RT-AX82U which is a decent bit of kit, the main annoyances like I said are the inability to connect to my server over WAN via my cloud flare domain/DNS it was never that great from the start (speed was good, latency and general timeouts was poor) I don't think it is the physical line or these issues would have been apparent with the previous ISP.

@LockyUK So your picture cleared now and can view, up to 2 days ago you were connected and running full tilt, either reset your router and also the ONT just in case, plus you have not been messing about with changing swapping out routers or your wan cable from the router to the ont?

Nope, I did all that when I first got the service, nothing has been touched or changed in at least a month

After 90 mins with sky before telling me I can't leave my contract due to the issue they eventually agreed to let me leave 22 mnths no termination charges but only once I provided them full evidence as well as demanding a deadlock letter because they broke their own terms and conditions
