TV/Router fragility

Approximately three times a day, connection with the internet fails. This requires a router reset to remedy this. When the connection returns, SkyGlass TV has to be hard reset to enable reconnecting with the hub. This has been occurring over the last six weeks but is increasing in frequency over the last two weeks. Reported this to Sky help three days ago who stated that it was due to low download speed and I needed to increase it. I told the representative that it was the highest speed in my area according to the last time I increased the connection speed. The lady then informed me that they could increase my speed by signing on for an additional 24months. So I agreed but within 12 hours the router connection dropped again an is now as fragile as before. Any ideas?

What speeds do you get now to the hub and to the TV (Netflix has a speed checker buried in the 'help' section), also what speeds have you agreed to sign up to?
