Really weird one guys.
I've had an Archer A7 Router for years. Works great with SKY FTTP and had no issues with set up via Dynamic IP.
I now upgraded to Ultrafast plus and am getting 550mbps down and 60mbps up when hardwire. WIFI only getting about 120 so wanted a more powerful router and purchased the TP Link AX72 because it gives out 5400.
Anyway that's just my reason for upgrading.
No matter what I did I couldn't get the new router working.
I used the same SSID & Key so all my devices connected instantly which I was absolutely buzzing with. Then was equally disappointed that I couldn't get connected to the internet.
Used all the same settings. Nothing.
Put old one back on and it worked instantly so really just a note to say don't buy the AX72 if on SKY FTTP

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@joedaft86 there have been a number of reports of issues with TP-Link routers not connecting to Sky's FTTP services as although TP-Link's modem routers supporting Sky's use of DHCPv4 Option 61 the support is not carried over to those using a WAN connection.
It msybe possible to change the connection to use DHCPv6 PD (prefix delegation) without any log in required but not sure if that will work on thst model

The original Archer A7 is also a TP Link.
Apologies for not being clear. Same Tether app and same configuration and I am pretty savvy with IT.
Baffled by this one.

I'm trying to get my Archer A7 running with my new Sky Fibre FTTP.
Did you configure the A7 to use IPv6 with bridging to IPv4? Having a hard time getting the A7 to connect to the internet...
