Switching from Virgin fibre to Sky fibre

We are switching from Virgin fibre broadband to Sky broadband and an openreach egineer needs to come out. Porting out phone line as well.

Sky has already informed Virgin on our behalf about the switch. It isn't clear if Virgin will disconnect our services at midnight on the day or only when Sky switches the connection. We really need to minimise downtime due to work - we do have 4g portable broadband as backup but it's not really ideal. Does anyone know how much downtime is usually expected? Presumably the engineer will come out as arranged..!

@Lauz1

When its an Openreach network to Openreach network switch the downtime is usually anything from 5mins to 1hr. With it being a switch from Virgin, Sky nor Openreach have any control over when Virgin decide to pull the plug on your service. You would need to contact Virgin directly to find this out.
