If you turn your router off each night the network might think there is a fault and reduce your speed to help make the connection stable.

Or, for convenience, switch off the Hub wireless permanently and attach a separate wireless access point over ethernet cable, then power this off and on as desired from either hardware button or mains socket.

What is "XT link"? If it is a wifi access point then speeds thst delivers depend in many things like its specification, location and the layout of your home. If it is connected to the Sky hub by a fully wired ethernet lead then it should becable to access the full bandwidth of your connection up to 1Gb/s.

A wireless access point rather than a router, hopefully.

Yes I believe it is an access point , not fully compos mentis with Wi-Fi equipment, I changed pass word and Wi-Fi name on sky router but when connecting to sky q with direct Ethernet cable the name on settings is something totally different? Any ideas

Not sure where you mean, but by default a TP-Link WAP will be broadcasting its own SSID (Network Name) and password unless these are changed manually.

Sky Q box directly connected to Sky router via Ethernet cable , when I go to network settings on Q box the network name is totally different to the name I have given sky router .
