We currently have broadband through KCom but it is useless so we are wanting to return to sky broadband. As our phone line is a KCom line (not BT) will we be charged for putting a new line in? If so how much would this be?

There's typically no charge from Openreach (not 'BT'), but I thought KCOM had a monopoly in the area it services.

Yeah it did in Hull for years where it started but they have rolled out across East yorkshire. Problem we have is drops the line all the time and doesn't play well with sky Q. Plus we're paying a fortune, so back to sky it is!

Putting the address into the BT Wholesale Availability Checker should indicate which provisioning type is applicable.

It's the table and the two text lines below it which are most useful.
Remove any personal information (such as the address itself) if you post an image.
