Joined sky about a couple of weeks ago and our connection is super slow. Everyone in the house complain about how it is underperforming vs our previous Virgin ambroadband and TV can't stream without stopping every min.
ran analysis but it says all is looking good. Feels like I need an open reach technician to check it.

Roughly speaking, Openreach FTTC is slower than Virgin cable, but Openreach FTTP can be faster. Openreach FTTP upload speeds are typically higher than outbound Virgin on an equivalent incoming band.
For reference:
Virgin Media M125: 132 Mbps download, 20 Mbps upload
Virgin Media M250: 264 Mbps download, 25 Mbps upload
Virgin Media M350: 362 Mbps download, 36 Mbps upload
Virgin Media M500: 516 Mbps download, 36 Mbps upload
Virgin Media Gig1: 1130 Mbps (1.13 Gbps) download, 52 Mbps upload
Openreach FTTC: maximum 80Mbs download, 20Mbs upload, reduced by line distance from the local fibre cabinet
Openreach FTTP: 100, 150, 300, 500 and 900Mbs download (also 1.2 and 1.8 Gbs from some ISPs)
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2

You appear to be on a good Openreach FTTC connection, but the fastest possible speed on that technology is lower than the slowest Virgin speed band over their private coaxial cable network.
