Super fast 80 v Plusnet500

Need advice on the advantage of switching to Plusnet 500 ...compared to Sky's super fast 80 ,of which I've had no trouble with to get honest ...it sounds much faster (Plusnet) but surely the upload speed is determined but my location ...will I notice much difference switching ?

Always happy with Sky just frustrated that you have to go to such lengths to get a good deal when renewing a contract

Thanks in advance ...sorry if my poor knowledge of broadband is obvious

@Mike200kg The upload speed will be far better as you will be upgrading to full fibre instead of the part fibre that is used for super fast 80, full fibre doesn't suffer with the limitations that part fibre/part copper does.

If you are happy with Sky have you looked at just upgrading to full fibre with them?

@Mike200kg  If plusnet can offer 500mbps on the Openreach network Sky would be able to also.  What are the results when you put your address in this link https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome

Please post the results blanking out any address/cabinate data.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Plusnet only use Openreach by the looks so like any other OR user, UL speeds will be roughly 10% of the DL speeds. Altnets such as CityFibre which Sky will use if available, are symmetrical which means UL & DL speeds are identical.

No: FTTP speeds aren't limited by distance in the way copper circuits are.
