Stop Installation – Openreach Route Not Approved

Hi,

I am contacting you regarding my upcoming broadband installation.

I have received a Permit To Work form from Openreach, but I do NOT agree with the proposed cable route and I have not signed the document.

I do not allow any digging or work to be carried out through my front entrance or newly renovated front path.

The only acceptable route is along the front fence and then around the side of the house to the side wall.

As no agreement has been reached and no document has been signed, the installation scheduled for Friday must be postponed until this is resolved.

Please confirm that the installation has been paused and that Openreach will contact me to agree a new route before any work is carried out.

Kind regards,

Agnieszka Jarka

You haven’t contacted Sky by posting on here. This is a customer ▶️ customer discussion forum where we try to help other customers.

You need to contact Sky asap to discuss but cancellation of an appointment the day before it's scheduled may mean a £25 charge being applied.

Sorry @Agnieszka82 but you are not talking to Sky here as we are customers who help each other so nobody here can confirm this has been cancelled so you would need to call Sky about this.

Re: Stop Installation – Openreach Route Not Approved

@Agnieszka82 make sure that as well as phoning you send an email to Sky asap with the details you have provided here.
This forum post will not be recognized by Sky as a request to cancel work.
Send them an email here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/how-to-make-a-complaint#message-us-broadband

I would recommend you also tell them this via the online chat on that same link. [removed] The email in important so that you definitely have this request in your words in writing in case they do the work anyway and then try to charge you for it.
