Hi,
Hopefully someone can advise. I am trying to access this website: https://www.wowhead.com/.
It is a Workld of Warcraft fan site and is linked by Blizzard as the goto site for support.
It worked perfectly until about 6 months ago and now I receive a STATIC CDN Error. That said, when using 4G/5G i.e. bypass SkyWiFi I can access it! There is no real guidance on it so I believe it is an ISP issue.
Thanks

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreMight be a routing issue of some kind. You could try turning off your Sky Hub for an hour which should result in it being assigned a new public IP address.

Thanks - Ill give it a go. I'd be interested to know if other SKY users can access the website.

I just clicked on your link and went straight to the site, no issue.

Thanks for the feedback. Kinda points to the router. I'll give it a shake 😏

It kind of points at Sky's security, the firewall at the CDN and the public IP address is one that's not authorised through the network, eg: @Mark39 advice of switching the router off for an hour is a good one to acquire a new public IP address not plagued with the issue seems sensible...

Looks like that worked. Thanks @Mark39 and all the other contributors.

Hi, I have this issue. Disabled adblocker; disabled firewall; added the website to 'allow' list on the broadband shield; flushed dns; knocked the router off all day while at work. Still get the Static CDN error. Wowhead Discord insists it's not an error their side. They did move servers, so suggest SKY is fetching the 'old' address, but I am not sure what else to do. Any ideas?

Find out more@backrowman if it is a DNS issue which I doubt simply set your devicecto use a public DNS service in place of Sky's Google's on 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 are reliable. If it is an issue with the IP address as appeared to be in tge earlier posts try powering down your hub for an hour which should get you a new IP address.

Hi, I just had the same problem but found a solution on an old reddit thread and just wanted to share it in case someone else has the same problem:
Your SKY router automatically has a PG13 setting turned on, and wow (and wowhead) is PG15. If you want to turn this off, head over to skys main website (sky.com), log in, go under "my sky" then "product settings" (choose your broadband) then under broadband shield, disable (or choose 18, whichever should work). You don't need to restart or anything, it should work immediately.

I had no idea this was a thing. Thank you very much, this resolved my problem!
