Splitting of the 2.4 & 5 Ghz bandwidths

Hello,

Yesterday I split the bandwidth on my Sky router to accommodate some Tapo smart security devices (which of course will only operate on the 2.4Ghz bandwidth).

Upkn completion of the splitting. I It would appear that all of the devices that work (as they should on the 5Ghz bandwidth)  have now automatically connected to the 2.4Ghz bandwidth.

How can this be corrected?

@Steve+C  Did you change the name of the 2.4 GHz to something different to the 5GHz and make those devices connect to that rather than the 2.4 GHz frequency.

If someone has helped give them Like.

Hello

Yes!  I renamed them as separate frequencies.

My pc, I tablet and laptop have connected to the 5Ghz frequency.

But not my Smart TV or inkjet printer.iWll I have to manually amend the IP addresses on these devices?

Those may only have 2.4Ghz chipsets: they don't require 5Ghz speed.
