Re: Speeds
@Simmo19 How are you doing the speed tests? Over wifi? Have you done them using an ethernet attached device?

Re: Speeds
@Simmo19 Wifi can be variable depending on building structure etc, ethernet should give you a result near the minimum, one thing to note speeds quoted are always to the hub.

Re: Speeds
@Simmo19 Information below!

And for speed related issues good read.

On sky FF500 myself, and if you think 400Mb/s is the minimum all the time then you are going to be disappointed!

Re: Speeds
I've run a test on ethernet and getting 390mb/s download and 534mb/s upload. The engineer connected with an old non-cat 5e lead. I expect that may improve it a little.
Rant over, thanks all. 😊

Re: Speeds
@Simmo19 Are you on a CF service with symmetrical speed's? Short cables even not Cat5e spec will exceed your speed, ONT will be syncing at 1Gb/s Nic to wan port!
Wireless wi-fi testing will be fine you just have to know the what/why/when and have the device/testing done same way, one butt in and testing can be up/down all over the place network is a shared resource every device get's serviced as quick as the hub can do it but you don't get to wait 20mins while it makes it's mind up!!!!.
