My speed drop In one week from 40Mb

There is a fault on the broadband line that should achieve about 50Mbps downstream but is pegged at 25Mbps because of a fault which will be below your guaranteed minimum downstream speed.

You are on an 80/20Mbps profile and upstream is doing well at 12Mbps.

If Sky/Openreach cannot fix the fault within a month, they should let you out of the contract penalty-free.

Re: Speed drop from 40 to 20

Thank you.

And last question If my 18 month contract is end, then Sky can drop my speed if I did not choose renewal?

No, Sky cannot drop the speed because when you have completed an 18-month contract it goes to a rolling contract on by month-by-month basis. And Sky/Openreach are still responsible for fixing a contractual fault.
