Some websites slow after upgrade

I recently upgraded my broadband to Sky Ultrafast 500mb but since then, some websites are really slow to open. I sometimes have to reload and sometimes give up altogether. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with my connection which i regularly check via the sky app. Anyone any ideas?

@Gav444444

When the broadband connection is working correctly then issues related to some websites are down to the remote website whether restricting the bandwidth or even blocking the public IP address of the client.

For solving this in most situations one only needs to acquire a new public IP address by switching off the router for about an hour and booting it up again after this time. Do let the community know how you get on.

Re: Some websites slow after upgrade

Thanks. This worked. One thing I noticed is that the problem only seemed to be with Safari. When I changed to Chrome, everything seemed fine.
