Some websites inaccessible on Max

We "upgraded" to Sky WiFi max last month. We previously had poor reception in the extension that was completed in May. Max promised better coverage in the house. I already had a Netgear extender upstairs.

We had a lot of problems. One Sunday the router connection dropped about 50 times. Openreach came out and said there were some odd things and half fixed them - the next step would be digging to install new cables. But whilst it improved the reliability of connection, it still didnt change another problem: some sites, such as BBC or Sky News would simply not load. "Page not reachable". Other sites seemed fine.

Called Sky. They turned off Broadband Shield. That didn't fix it. But here is the weird thing: when we connect devices to the upstairs extender (which of course talks to the router, its not an independent connection), everything just works.

Any ideas why this would be? Ip6 v Ip4? Extender has an IP address that isn't rejected by some sites? Baffled.

@Julian+Gold it is odd actually all connections on your networkusexa single public IP address which is assigned by Sky so its not an addressing issue. Neither is it likely to be a DNS issue unless the Netgear extender has some different setting which is highly unlikely and bizarrly as it seems Sky's own DNS knows Sky.coms IP addresses.😀
