Some sites blocked

I just viisted a friend that has sky ISP and several political, information, news sites that contain the word"CANNABIS" are now blocked, without  telling us.    To unblock them is a long-winded process of logging in the sky and changing the settings in security / parental control which involved then typing in two lines each of 44 characters and chevrons from my passport into boxes to prove i am over 18. I didnt even know young teenagers could rent sky broadband! Talk about controlling us and making us jump through loops.   I am thinking itis time to change my ISP.

UK law requires all ISPs to implement default age controls on broadband connections.  Complain to a couple of Governments ago.

Disabling Sky Broadband Shield doesn't involve that process: it should just be a question of a one-off authentication against the Sky website using Sky credentials.

I'm not aware of a Sky Broadband system which requires passport number entry, but some cellular ISPs appear to implement this
