Slow speeds compared to Virgin

I've just moved from Virgin (250mbps) where we consistently had good wifi coverage around the house (at least 150mbs) and good general speed. Came to the end of a contract and Sky were offering 300mbps for a couple of quid cheaper per month so made the switch and am immediately regretting it, as we work from home and are reliant on consistently good quality wifi throughout the house.

We're receiving house pretty poor speeds (50-60mb) where we were receiving 150mbs from vieing, and even in the same room sometimes only up to 120mb.

Has anyone else experienced this? Are the routers Sky provide just a bit rubbish?

Generally Sky hubs don't provide as good WiFi coverage compared to the likes of BT, Virgin etc. At the end of the day each router from each ISP is going to behave differently in a home so there will be some variation.

Multiple forum posts would suggest so.

The same posts suggest the Max Hub suffers from inexplicably poor performance in some properties.
