Slow internet
Despite sky MySky saying connection good, Okla broadband Speedtest shows download of 6.62mbps upload 10.6 mbps.
only been with sky broadband a month and the speed is poor. This is not the speed I pay for.
repeat test 10 mins later shows similar speed. 7.96 down and 9.29 upload.

Re: Slow internet
@BobT0 if you are using a device connected by WiFi you are almost certainly simply testing the speed of the WiFi connection in your home.
Poor WiFi coverage is probably the most common question we get in the forum. In many homes a single Sky hub cannot provide a usable wifi signal in every room due to the layout and type of construction of the property especially in older homes. Assuming the hub is in the best possible position which is out in the open on a surface then the only answer is additional wifi sources.
Your choice.is to either buy Sky's add-on WiFi Max bundle which can supply up to 3 extenders see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max or buy your own wifi system and use that instead of the Sky hub's WiFi.

Re: Slow internet
Thank you for your reply. I was 3 metres from the hub! I am comparing it to my old EE router which had no problem delivering better WiFi speeds. Seriously considering sending this back. Is there something in the setup that deliberately keeps WiFi speeds low?
