Slow internet speeds and poor coverage compared to previous supplier
Since switching to Sky from BT, I've been suffering from sometimes poor internet speeds (despite what the app says when I test connection) and very poor coverage. I used to be with BT, and had their Home Hub on some shelves in the living room at the front of the house. Whole house was covered, no complaints from anyone (especially the children). Switch to Sky, put their hub in the same location and the results are different. My son's PC in his bedroom on the other side of the house upstairs (not a big house) struggles for a stable connection and slow speeds. My Ring security camera literally on the other side of an external brick wall to where the hub is couldn't get a connection. The smart bulbs located around the house fail to connect/respond depending the further they are from the hub. And generally I have the children complaining about slow speeds ("lag!") and random drops/disconnects. I contacted Sky after the '2 weeks teething' window, and it was suggested to put the hub in a 'better location' and to get an extender (more expense as I never needed one before). Due to the limit of where my socket is and the devices located around the shelves, I could only really relocate the Sky Hub on the window sill. Purchased an extender and placed on the stairs... My Ring security camera can now get a connection. That has been the only positive. The smart bulbs are still as ineffective as they were before. My son's PC still has connection issues. As does the gaming console on the shelves. Still have general complaints about speed etc. from the family members. Now however, because I've had to move the hub on the window sill, my Sky Glass TV has to be wireless rather than hard wired. Now the Sky Glass randomly loses internet connection like it cannot detect it - bearing in mind the hub is only 2-3 feet away with nothing in existence blocking it - and I have to reconnect it via WPS because entering the network password on the TV remote becomes tiresome after the amount of times it does this. And I say randomly - it isn't. At least once a month it does this. And has been doing so since I switched to Sky. Hence the exhaustion of entering the password. Bearing in mind all of these things worked absolutely fine before and there were no complaints - what else can I do to improve my connection? I've looked into purchasing a third party routher and used the Sky Hub as a modem, but that's more expense again and not a guarantee it'll fix the issue. I've even contemplated paying Sky the £130 cancellation fee just to go back to BT in hopes it'll **bleep** the kids/wife up about how good it was before and complaining about why I switched.

Re: Slow internet speeds and poor coverage compared to previous supplier
I apologise for the lack of spacing/paragraphs. I copy and pasted the text from Google Notes because my previous attempt of a post via the app failed because the app randomly closed. When I pasted it it did retain paragraphs.
