Slow internet speed and WiFi keeps dropping out

Our internet speed has been bad recently and today it is around 3mbps where as it used to be above 20. Our WiFi has also started to drop out quite frequently. Our WiFi box is the old one, circa 10 years old. Sky had promised to replace this a couple of years ago but never sent the new router.

@JimM1 we have a very old hub (the top picture in the link). Thanks for that link, turns out we are eligible for a free upgrade which I have now requested. Many thanks for your help. Fingers crossed a new hub will help with the WiFi drop outs. Not sure if that will give us any better download speeds though when using WiFi or if this is a different issue?

@ShaunCoathup No problem, you should recieve the Sky Broadband hub to replace, with the speeds you are quoting on the post it is sounding like you may have a noisy line, do you have a landline phone connected? If you do and you are hearing crackles and pops then that may be the issue, Never used that old off a hub, was a skip for me from the one before to the Sky Q version. Lets just wait but you may want to call sky, they can run a test against your line, if they find it noisy then that will get that ball rolling a lot quicker.
