I currently have Sky Business. I have a tablet which gets wifi speed of approx 1.5MB
After a very long time with a patient Sky employee this morning we went through every single that was connected to the wifi and found all devices working as they should. All except the tablet.
It was suggested that logically the tablet was the problem. However when connected via EE via my phone I get speeds of approx. 50MB. When I connect the tablet in my home on Virgin, I get speeds of 128MB.
I was told that perhaps my Microsoft tablet is not compatible with Sky. I have reset the network adapter. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver but again, when I have tried it with other signals, all works fine.
I currently have the tablet tethered to my phone which is only connected to the Sky signal (no mobile data) and I am receiving 57MB.
Any suggestions? There are going to be times when I won't be able to use my phone as a mobile hotspot so it's not an ideal situation.
I have purchased a TP Link 300 however even that struggles to connect to the Wifi.
Thank you

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHave you tried forcing the tablet to use 5ghz WiFi? It may be that your Sky hub is placing the tablet on the slower 2.4ghz WiFi band whereas all the other routers you have tried (EE hotspot & Virgin router) are putting it on the 5ghz band. In Windows you can force the adapter to prefer 5ghz.
