Hello,
I have had wifi with sky at this adress for over a year. I pay for super fast boadband but i always get slow internet connection, specifically over the weekends and bank holidays. I have adressed this issue a number if times with sky and also had openreach technitians come out. I have been told that its a problem with the line but how is this still the case a year on? Can anyone please advise me on how i can get this sorted?
Many thanks,

FTTC broadband is inherently limited by line length from the local fibre cabinet and the quality of the cabling: that's inevitable given the technology. In some cases where Openreach is unable to resolve the issue an ISP will simply offer early exit from any current minimum contract term: they aren't actually obliged to deliver any particular speed.
Longer term, this is a major reason why copper telephone wiring is being replaced by optical fibre in a national rollout running up to the end of 2026.
