Slow broadband speed
1. My broadband speed has dropped from an average of 35Mb to 10Mb. I have done the broadband checker, and although it initially says there is an issue, it says that the broadband is good after the check has been complete, but the average speed chart is showing 3 days at 10Mb (even went to 9.1Mb this afternoon).
I am out of contact so cannot use the Speed Guarantee. My neighbour also told me they are experiencing a lag in their internet speeds on BT.
2. I've also recently been advised that my router is no longer supported, however renewing my contract means I have to pay an extra £5 a month, and it doesn't tell me if I will receive a new router. I live in a village with 'partial fibre', whatever that means.
I'm struggling to find a person to speak to about my speed issue or my router issue - it's all AI bots with a specific set of questions.

'Part fibre' is Fibre To The Cabinet (FTTC)
FTTC speed is almost entirely the product of the copper line distance and quality between the fibre cabinet and the subscription address.
A regular speed of 35Mbs suggests that this was already an issue.
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2
