Slow WiFi after upgrade

So I upgraded to gigafast thinking wow, 900mbps internet. However. Since it change I get more drop offs, more buffering and rarely see speeds over 100mbps.

When I run a test on my sky, it constantly says 650mbps but then I run a speed test on my device and it's 90mbps.

either the routers are rubbish and they're simply lying about speeds.

This is a joke.

how do I get the speeds promised????

You were 'promised' high speed (600Mbs minimum) delivered over optical fibre and ethernet cable as far as the Hub, not WiFi from it.

The 'Enhanced Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' is for 25Mbs: all WiFi is zero Mbs past some tens of metres clear air or on the other side of a few walls.

If you really want super high speeds over WiFi (which almost no client devices actually need) then you could consider investing in wireless hardware rather better than any ISP will supply and with client devices to match.

Sky Glass 55" (on ethernet) & two Stream Pucks (one ethernet / one WiFi)
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2
