Slow WIFI speed

When my husband and myself are online the WiFi at home we seem to have extremely slow WiFi speed when on social media and apps. We also have issues with receiving texts and phone calls to our mobiles as people are unable to get it contact with us

We are paying for the 1000Mbps and currently getting 56Mbps!!

@Kaymenegerie & @NatalieCarey Poor WiFi coverage is probably the most common question we get in the forum. In many homes a single Sky hub cannot provide a usable wifi signal in every room due to the layout and type of construction of the property especially in older homes. Assuming the hub is in the best possible position which is out in the open on a surfsce then the only answer is additional wifi sources. 

Your choice.is to either buy Sky's add-on WiFi Max bundle which can supply up to 3 extenders see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max or buy your own wifi system and use that instead of the Sky hub's WiFi.

Sorry but that is totally incorrect as we were getting super fast speeds absolutely fine until recently and we haven't changed house or moved the router. So clearly you suggestion is incorrect.

@Kaymenegerie you posted that you are paying for 1000Mb/s and getting 56Mb/s which 99% if times is due to poor WiFi distribution hence my reply. It would be extremly unusual for a full fibre connection speed to drop that far but you can check the speed to your hub in the service checker in the My Sky app. If that is the cause the app,should offer support by booking an engineer.
