I have a sky Q hub and lately I keep dropping connection (no broadband). I reset it which sometimes takes half hour. It's getting worse not better. This is such old equipment. Do you think they will provide me with a new router?

I ca't because I am not at home, I also cannot contact them when it is faulty as I have no broadband / no wifi calling. I cannot even make calls on my mobile without a broadband connection 😕

The Q Hub was released in 2016 so is eight years old at most. It's still in support and in use at millions of addresses, but Sky is in the process of swapping them out as they are not compatible with the end of PSTN (scheduled for December next year but now delayed until January 2027)

The issue I have is that I cannot ring them from home when it plays up as I need wifi calling to use my mobile at home. I tried having the Puck a few moths ago and my broadband wasn't good enough to use it. 8 years is quite old isn't it!

Not particularly: the BT Smart Hub 2 is a similar generation of hardware (and also needs replacing before PSTN ceases)
If you were to recontract with Sky they may supply different hardware: this would be automatic in a transfer from FTTC to FTTP.

It takes about 30 mins to reboot, does that suggest it's past its days?
