Slow Internet response on wifi

Hi 

I joined Sky broadband in March and to be honest experience to date is really not great compared with BT.

Having managed to resolve a number of issues with the shield and firewall security options I am now not sure how to fix the final issue which relates to internet page load times particular on phone / tablets / laptops on Wifi.

I can place the device right next to the router, connection looks fine but it seems to take about 30secs -1min to load a page.

I have added manual DNS entries for Google servers and did a wifi scan to see if there was a conflict with any other router, tbh I cannot tell but they seem to be on different channels.  I also did a reset on the router and this made no difference.

Work laptops using wifi are fine on VPN but home laptop with no VPN is slow on Wifi.  Also noticed on a home device it can take an age to get the VPN to connect (Norton/Windscribe both the same)

Anyone have any ideas what else I could look at ?

I have been looking at this and tried a number of changes to improvement.

I am now convinced the issue is related to your DNS servers.

If i have a vpn on there are no issues.

If i use a DNS changer app there are no issues

So how can we test this theory against your DNS servers ?
