Slow Broadband
My Sky Broadband is contracted to circa 20mb /sec. This morning it is 6mb /sec.
Max in the last few days 19mb /sec.
Sky Man discussion on the phone is not a lot they can do, as that is all they can get for the area due to data demand.
What legal recourse do I have apart from cancelling my contract: Open reach are the line provider to Sky, Offcom do not want to know even though contracted speeds are not been maintained.
Where did the peoples charter disappear to, where by 2020 everyone was supposed to have Superfast Broadband.
The fibre DSL converter to copper is only 400 metres away, my neighbours have the same problem.
Loads of new houses have come into the area and has made a significant difference to speed drop so obviously a factor, yet who would check the capacity of the data centres to provide more capacity before these new homes are put in.
The answer I believe should rest with the area council, they say nothing to do with them.
Conclusion:
Second rate communications systems in the UK for public use, we consumers are suffering, living with second rate providers with no recourse anywhere.

Re: Slow Broadband
@Nedsram You have pretty much answered your own question, the more that is added to the system then the slower it is going to get, what you have is not going to get massively increased as that older tech is going to fade into the background, it's the waiting game on the new that takes all the time to get done! At least you have the understanding to what is going on!
