Sky wifi max
Is it worth upgrading, my sky router says channel 6 and wap 2. I have broadband ultra fast plus. Is it worth changing my router? And could someone tell me the difference between the router I got and the new one.

The Max Hub is specified as WiFi 6 (802.11ax) and WPA3.
The WiFi Max subscription offers booster pods, Parental Controls and (supposedly) enhanced security.

No: WiFi 6 is the next generation in wireless technology: your current model is presumably a Sky Broadband Hub which is WiFi 5.
Whether that actually makes any difference is largely a matter of local use patterns and environment though. WiFi 6 for Superfast broadband or Ultrafast below 500Mbs,
is fairly unnecessary.

Re: Sky wifi max
@howdy12 the wifi channels either hub picks will depend on what other signals they detect in your home. The Wifi Max hub seems pretty smart at avoiding other signals which is just as well as you cannot control the channels it picks it is entirely automatic while the older SR203 does allow users to pick channels.
