Sky wifi dropping

My wifi has been dropping out quite regularly in the evenings. Works fine all day and then out of nowhere just cuts out.  Is this a common problem?

@Gareth122 Not really do you see anything when it does, take a look at the link below.

This link providers information about the coloured lights on the various hubs

Re: Sky wifi dropping

Thank you. It's flashing green,  indicating it's resetting. But no one has interfered with it and it has been flashing for quite some time.

Re: Sky wifi dropping

@Gareth122 Then do you have the white Sky Max hub, and it has the slow green flashing light. Also can you say if you are on a FTTP full fibre connection, if so does the ONT have all 3 green lights on it!

If copper connected fttc then the ONT is not there! See the links below to check and diagnostic you may need to run them over mobile data as no Broadband connection.

If you haven’t done it already use the below link to check to see if there are any broadband problems or outages nearby

Try running the line test here to see if any faults are found:

Re: Sky wifi dropping

Thank you for the support. We have the white hub. Openreach is wired into the house and two lights are on whilst the middle light is flashing.

Apparently there's an outage in my area. Although this didn't show when I started the thread.  According to sky it could take a few days to fix.  Although I'm not told what the problem is.

Re: Sky wifi dropping

@Gareth122 No problem, the issue is that when you check it takes a long time for sky to actually establish what is going on, there is just know way for there software to turn around and say oops it just you or it's thousands off potential in an area, eventually it does get there but you get left high and dry with some head scratching.

Know it does not help, but at least you have some tools in the post article now... Trust the lights they are generally good indication to what is going on, but you will never know the ins/out off that!
